I have trained and become qualified in business studies, child-minding, paediatric first aid, moving and handling, first aid, food safety, dignity in care, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, mental health, medication administration, stroke, epilepsy.  I am a Mental Health First Aider and also volunteer for The Cinnamon Trust.

With over thirty years experience and a vast knowledge of medicine, childcare, elderly care, gardening, animals, befriending, office work, cooking, good nutrition and specialist support services, I feel confident to offer my services with a professional approach.  I enjoy volunteer work and my current role is for The Cinnamon Trust.  This is a charity that specialises in looking after the pets of the elderly and terminally ill people who can no longer look after their dearly loved pet.  I have found what most people look for in quality care is their confidence, empathy, patience and positive approach to life.  Amongst many other qualities, I have those four and always greet my clients with a smile and friendly approach.

Having attended Business College I began my career as a secretary in the Executor and Trustee Division of a Bank.  I retired for the post when I started to bring up my family.  During this time I became a child-minder registered with Ofsted and when my family were older my mother required a little extra help, so I began to assist her.  This involved employing carers for her, so I dealt with payroll and direct payments.  I was also in charge of her medication.  Combined with this, I ran my own company providing a Home Help service which mainly involved helping the elderly.  Now that my family have all flown the nest my mother has passed on, I have made the decision to further my career as a Personal Assistant as I enjoy working with people who needs require a little more than the average everyday task.
